<font><font>I have XM 2.5TD. </font><font>I am from Montenegro, on a road trip, passing by through Breda. </font><font>As it happens, my car broke down. </font><font>I have lost power steering and lhm is leaking when trying to steer. </font><font>Luckily enough it happened on hotel parking lot.</font></font>

<font><font>Can anyone recommend XM specialist near by, preferably in Breda?</font></font>

Hi Robert, bad luck on you. Does it look like a high pressure or low pressure LHM leak?

Near Breda is Ton van Soest (http://www.tonvansoest.nl/). You could try there. I don't know however if he opens on Saturday.

I'm hoping for you it's not too much damage done.

Hey Marc,

thanks for prompt reply, it is probably cylinder on the steering rack, and high pressure linkage to steering rack, on 2.5td however it is quite inaccessible for inspection on the ground.

Have tried Ton van Soest and I am getting voice mail so I might check him again on Monday. Meanwhile I have found http://www.jansenbreda.nl/ which is very close to the car but he is on vacation until Monday :( Does anybody have any experience with him?

I have booked hotel for three more days and hope that I'll sort it out by then.

Garage Jansen is ok. Especially for Ds, but they might be able to help you with the Xm too. They will at least understand the hydraulic system and will probably be able to diagnose and hopefully repair. Van Soest will too, but it is a bit farther away....

<font><font>I will try to go now to Jansen, maybe he lives in house nearby and will be willing to arrange things for tomorrow, I saw that he have scrap yard also with few XM's so might have spare steering rack.  </font></font>

Hi to all,

thank you for all the contacts. I have contacted Jensen and Tom van Soest. Tom van Soest can get the car checked and, if needed, steering rack replaced. Now I am waiting for road assistance to arrange towing. I will let you know how it goes.

Saga continues :)

I have picked up the car from Ton Von Soest, and arrived in Munich last night. As it happens problem appeared again, big pudle of LHM beneath XM under the steering rack. To make things more interesting, I don't speak German and I am trying to get some help.

Any contacts in Munich, Germany highly appreciated.

Hi Guys,

I have managed to fix the car for the trip with Jacob in Munich (highly recommended, great guy - Jakob Greisser, 80687 Munich (Laim), Schäufeleinstrasse 7, Phone 00498974664587), so that I can go to Montenegro.

I have left yesterday from Munich and arrived in Montenegro early this morning. Now I'll probably exchange the steering rack and get the reliable car again :)
